University welcomes Chinese nurses from affiliate hospital

Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) recently established ties with Shijiazhuang Central Hospital and welcomed its Nurses to OLFU's Graduate School. Officers from Shijiazhuang Central Hospital accompanied their nurses to the Virtual Laboratory and visited the other facilities of OLFU. Officers included: Liu, Mingyi - Director of Public Health, President of Shijiazhuang Central Hospital; Zhao, Yongzhuang and Gao, Jiaping - Vice Presidents; Juan, Yongzhong - Administrative Director; Yang, Liu - Director for Finance; Zhang, Haiyan - Director for Academic & Science Department; and Zhang, Hao.

The first batch taking Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) are Liu Shan, Wang Jiao, Zhaoxin Tan, Nu Jia Qi and Wang Zhuo. More Nurses from Shijiazhuang Central Hospital are expected to take their Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) at OLFU's Graduate School as the University is commended for consistently in giving quality education and producing highly-competent nurses and doctors.

Under the provincial government of Hebei, China, Shijiazhuang Center Hospital was originally called Shijiazhuang Railway Center Hospital. Now under the provincial government of Hebei, China, it was built in 1903 and is now a 600-bed hospital with 27 clinic rooms.

OLFU was granted Autonomous Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for its "accomplishments, adherence to quality assurance, and commitment to public responsibility and accountability as a higher education institution." The grant was given March of 2009 and will last for five years. OLFU's Graduate School also offers Master of Arts in Education, Teaching, College Teaching, Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, and Hospitality and Tourism Management, Doctorate programs are Philosophy in Nursing, Philosophy in Education, Public Administration, and Business Administration.
