The OLFU Library Department headed by Chief Librarian Corazon Monroy is pleased to announce its recent acquirement of the INFOTRAC Custom 100 - an online subscription to more than 100 educational journals - including access to more than 175,000 abstract and full text articles updated daily. Mrs. Monroy explained that this is the first time the university has subscribed to such a large database of online journals, articles & citations. Gale Cengage Learning - the company behind Infotrac - is considered one of the world's leading providers of online databases of university & college journals and other educational publications. With this facility, Mrs. Monroy added, OLFU students are not restricted to traditional hard copies of the journal magazines when doing their research. "OLFU students and faculty alike now have the ability to browse thru journal publications with speed and ease using dedicated PC workstations. Furthermore - they do not need to wait for a previous student to finish reading a publication as there is not restriction to the number of users accessing a particular journal at one time," Mrs. Monroy added.
