Our Lady of Fatima University takes pride of two Fatimanians who were awarded in the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Municipality of San Luis, Aurora.

Criminology Dean Dr. Zorobabel Laureles and Dr. Mary Grace Yambot, an alumna of the College of Medicine, were recognized as two of the most outstanding citizens in the weeklong celebration of the municipality out of 50 awardees.

Dr. Laureles received the Outstanding Citizen award in the field of Public Government Service due to his achievements, sterling quality of leadership, and 35 years of service with 11 years as chief police.

"I'm very happy and honored about their recognition of my contributions to San Luis," Dr. Laureles said. "I owe my success to my experience in Aurora because it has been my foundation and my career started here."

Meanwhile, Dr. Yambot's contribution as a government doctor specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center in Cabanatuan City for four years which helped many of her fellow San Luis residents and her experience at Premier General Hospital in Baler since 2006 made her earn the Outstanding Citizen award in the field of Medicine.

"As an alumna of Fatima Batch 1998, I'm very proud and overwhelmed as one of the recognized citizens of our town and being one of the youngest awardees," Dr. Yambot said.
