| THE FATIMA MEDICAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION |
Message from the President:
The opening of our website for our medical alumni only proves that the Fatima Medical Alumni Association is alive and kicking! Despite our limited resources, we are able to garner enough skill and confidence to come up with another output that will serve to strengthen the bond of camaraderie among and between our alumni, the administration and the academe.
Despite our hectic schedule, the Association, through its previous set of officers and with the help – financial, physical, mental, moral, spiritual and whatever- of our active alumni and friends was able to pursue the following endeavors the past year: representing the school in the Annual PMA Convention Alumni Night, sponsoring the search for the Mr. & Ms. Medicine 2003, Brain Blitz 2003, and the conduction of Medical-Surgical Missions that were done in collaboration with various civic and religious organizations, the last of which took us the Aetas Resettlement Area in Porac , Pampanga.
To cap our Association’s achievements last year was the successful Grand Alumni Homecoming held last December 6, 2003 at the main campus of the school. The alumni Homecoming was held in celebration of the first Anniversary of the school as a University and coincided with the Silver Anniversary of the College of Medicine (where the first batch acted as the hosts!). The success of the Homecoming proved and underscored the unity and sense of brotherhood of our Alumni. It was also during the said event that anew set of officers was elected. With the election of the new set of Board of Officers of the FMAA, more inputs – and hopefully more funds for more projects and alumni assistance services - are in the offering.
Yes indeed, the Association is very much alive and kicking! Congratulations to all of us and welcome to our website!

| ALUMNI SERVICES |
The Fatima Medical Alumni Association, although still in its infancy, offers the following services to all its alumni and hopes to expand and improve these in the years to come.
Reunions
The FMAA, in coordination with the administration, helps organize and provides assistance in reunions and homecoming events for various classes most especially for Jubilarians. There are basically four types of Jubilarians: Silver, 25 years; Pearl, 30 years; Ruby, 40 years; Golden, 50 years and Diamond, 60 years.
Communication
The Association has already published the first edition of its official newsletter. The Fatima Courier. Through this newsletter we aim to reach as much of our alumni as we can let them know the latest happenings in their alma mater. Although published annually, we hope to be able to expand its coverage to make it a bi-annual publication. Contributions from the alumni are most welcome and can be sent through the Alumni Affairs Office c/o Dr. Fe A. Bartolome, the current University Alumni Coordinator.
Sports and other University Activities
In line with its goal to take active participation in the different activities of the University, the Association aims to support and participate in the various sports and academic activities of the school. Among these are the Sports fest held during the school’s Foundation Day and the sponsoring of the Brain Blitz (now on its second year) during the Medicine Week.
Alumni Directory
The Alumni Affairs Office is now in the process of updating the records of all the alumni of Our Lady of Fatima University, beginning with the College of Medicine. Please register yourself by logging in to our site so that we can update your records. We hope to be able to come up with an alumni directory so that you can get in touch with fellow alumni.
Provident Services
In order to develop social awareness and consciousness among its members, the FMAA aims to extend its assistance to its needy members, who because of unfortunate circumstances are unable to avail of adequate medical and /or burial services. |
