The year 2003 saw the formation of the College of Education in OLFU with classes in Quezon City and the main campus in Valenzuela City. The increasing deployment of Filipino teachers to other countries was draining the local resources --- and thus, to help maintain the quality of Philippine education, OLFU opened the College of Education with 2 course offerings: Bachelor of Elementary Education, major in Pre-School Education (formerly Early Childhood Education) and Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English.
The College of Education continuously innovate its teaching and training methods to be abreast of international educational methods; the College has and still seeks Memorandum of Agreements with schools wherein BS Education students could have their practicum and field studies. To date, 99% of practicum-students are absorbed by the schools where they have their practicum and field study.
In 2007, the College held its first baccalaureate and achieved 100% passing in the Licensure Examination for Teachers.
