The Office of Alumni Affairs overall is tasked, among others, with keeping OLFU alumni informed of the goals, events, activities, accomplishments, and other pertinent information about the Our Lady of Fatima University. It serves as the central coordinating office for OLFU’s various college unit alumni chapters through their alumni coordinators who submit to the Office Director for advice and support of their individual programs and activities.

MISSION:

The Mission of the Office of Alumni Affairs is to foster a long term commitment amongst OLFU graduates to offer support for and participation in, the University’s Mission and Vision and its continued growth, through programs that encourage engagement with and promote pride with Our Lady of Fatima University OBJECTIVES:

a.) Develop and enhance OLFU ‘s relationship with its alumni through programs that:
  • encourage alumni to identify themselves with the University
  • to generate and sustain interest and participation in OLFU affairs
  • inspire alumni to contribute to the development of OLFU and the promotion of its good name and reputation, locally and internationally
b.) To establish and maintain an alumni structure that unifies programs and activities among individual college units/chapters consistent with the OLFU’s vision and mission.
c.) To strengthen ties between the university and alumni and encourage them to participate in the various cultural & social activities that promotes and enhances OLFU’s relationship with is adopted communities.
d.) To provide a focal point of contact among alumni through the implementation of:
  • a programme of alumni reunions, homecomings and similar events;
  • printed and electronic communications that disseminate relevant university and alumni news
e.) Sponsor programmes that create opportunities for alumni re-training and self-development. f.) Develop programs that tap alumni resources in sponsoring financially challenged students.

Strategic Initiatives for 2007-11:

a.) Establish structure for overall coordination of Alumni Homecoming Events and other alumni sponsored or related activities.
b.) Maintenance of a central database on graduate contact information including participation in Alumni Tracking programs in conjunction with the Research and Development Center.

d.) Establish program for recognition Outstanding Alumni
e.) Establish Alumni Newsletter
f.) Establish Alumni Scholarship program
